This program aim is to create and manage electronic and printed guitar songbooks.
The power of this program is its ability to convert very simple 'plain text' songs (you don't have to bother
about text layout, diagrams, chord fingering...)
into very nice-looking, ready-to-print songs with chord
diagrams.

Managing song dataInformations about the songs and their author is kept in a local database. The "Chansonnier" allows you to easily add/update/remove songs and authors. Import and export functions to various external formats are also provided. |
Editing songsThe song are stored internally as simple text, so it is very easy to create and edit them.
The "Chansonnier" provides a little embedded text editor with specific syntax-coloring and function for song edition. |

Grouping songs into songbooksA songbook is simply a persistent selection of songs. The songbooks can be displayed directly or exported to PDF to be printed. |
Displaying songbooksThe songs of a songbook are displayed on the screen nicely formatted. The chords are displayed above the song lines using english chord names (A, B, C...) or french chord names (Do, RĂ©, Mi ...). The diagrams of the chords used in a song are displayed at the top. The chords can be transposed on-the-fly in this screen. |

Printing songbooksFrom a songbook, an export function creates ready-to-print PDF documents. Those PDF documents displays song in the same nice format (including chord diagrams) as the application and also contains generated indexes. |
